2020 marks the Centennial of the founding of the League of Women Voters AND the ratification of the 19th amendment to the US Constitution that gave women the right to vote.

In honor of the Centennial of the passage of the 19th amendment granting women the right to vote, we are featuring a piece in our local newspaper every month about a famous suffragist.

At present, we have published four articles about famous suffragists and a fifth article about the less frequently covered black women sufragists who fought to win equal voting rights for women.
